REMOVING AND REFITTING QF HAND BRAKE CONTROL SHAFT REMOVING OF HAND BRAKE CONTROL SHAFT Disconnect brake cables, hand brake control and return spring. To remove control shaft, disengage the two shaft brackets. REFITTING OF HAND BRAKE CONTROL SHAFT Fit the two brackets and mount the control shaft. Tighten caps of brackets with spring washers fitted under nuts. Connect brake cables and hand brake control. Hook on return spring. Adjust hand brake (see Operation 150, paragraph 3).
