g) Stand the cylinder block upside down, resting on the cylinder head joint face. Fit the crankshaft bearings in the cylinder block and in the bearing caps, but do not fit the latter yet. Pay attention to the markings made when dismantling. 12. Prepare the crankshaft. Clean the crankshaft and in particular the oil passages. NOTE: 1) If absolutely necessary a better surface finish i to the bearings may be obtained by using fine emery cloth.
