4, Adjust the clearance between the brake pads and the brake disc. Place between the brake pads and the disc, on each side, a shim 0.1 mm thick, having a surface equivalent to that of the pad, to prevent them rocking. With the levers against the stop at (a), adjust the screws (1) until the pads begin to just touch the disc (16 mm O/E spanner with thin jaws). Tighten the locknuts (2).
