37. Measure the crown wheel to pinion backlash. a) Fit the fixture 3175-T to the front of the gearbox: - fit the flange (A) over the shoulder of the bevel pinion bearing. Fit the screws and tighten them to about 7 lbs ft. (1 - Replace the nut by the index (B). - Bring the index finger (B) into a horizontal position. - Fix the dial gauge 2437-T equipped with extension 3176-T on its support.
