ASSEMBLY. 5. Offer up the pump backplate. Smear with or hermetic compound the gasket between the pump backplate and the cylinder head. Fit: - the gasket, (position gasket as illustrated corner "A"'), - the water pump backplate, - the clip securing the distributor feed lead. Tighten the screws and nuts securing the pump backplate on the cylinder head. Fit:
