4 OPERATION N° D. 142-0 : Adjusting and controls. VEHICLES ALL TYPES. VIII. ADJUSTING THE ACCELERATOR CONTROL. 16. Check the measurement « a »; it should be : a = 135 mm. If it is not, move the hooking plate for the accelerator return springs to obtain the measurement : a= 135 mm. 17. a) With the accelerator pedal held fully down, open the butterfly or butterflies to the maximum and check the measurement « b » between the parts (2) and (3). This measurement should be : b = 1-4 mm, b) If it it not, adjust the nut and the lock-nut (1) on the accelerator control rod to obtain the correct measurement.
